The Son of Tarzan is a Bomba, a music, rhythm and dance from Puerto Rico. Played with bass, congas, cajones peruanos and drum set (without cymbals) in a timbale style.
Martín Broussalis: percussion (congas, cajón peruano, cuá, maracas, guicharo / drum set / composition.
Daniel Greco: double bass / music collaboration.

BOOKS AND PERCUSSION.
TRISTAN TZARA (1896-1963) WAS KNOWN BEST FOR BEING ONE OF THE FOUNDERS AND CENTRAL FIGURES OF THE DADA OR DADAISM MOVEMENT, WICH PEAKED FROM 1916-1922.
This composition entails a Tzara´s excerpt from his "Manifiesto" (text in spanish), a 5/8 ostinato on a wooden block, and assorted toy percussion troughout the piece.

The sotaques of Maranhao, Brasil,
entails a rich percussion, dance and theater tradition,
linked to the amazonian and indigenous culture.
This sotaque uses peruvian boxes or cajones peruanos,
replacing the traditional atabaques or conga-like percussions.
Then, one of the cajones plays solo while the other keeps time.
There are also other percussions as well.
Las Cañitas is a neighborhood from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

from the CD VOODOO PERCUSSION / MARTIN BROUSSALIS & JOSEPH SENATUS TI WOUJ
Voodoo Percussion contains the authentic rhythms that are played in a voodoo ceremony. Played by the percussionists Martin Broussalis from Argentina and Joseph Senatus Ti Wouj from Haiti, it was recorded in the USA and edited in Buenos Aires. The CD is completed with the text necessary to understand the voodoo ritual.
